Designer Made
The Moon chair was created by the Portuguese designers Alzira Peixoto and Carlos Mendonҫa. They have a history of experimenting with innovative and unusual materials, which has led to the creation of beautiful lifestyle objects in the last couple of decades.
A Sculpture
The entire lounge chair will be carved from a single block. Yet, before the craftsman can start sculpting, he first needs to find the perfect block. Not only does it need to be big enough, but also not show a single flaw or crack.
Waterproof
Cork is totally impermeable to liquids which makes it easy clean.
Heat Resistant
You can put warm objects directly on its surface without causing damage.
Soft Touch
Your table will feel nice and soft. Also, the table corners are safe for children.
Tough
The Cork is resistant to wear, as it is less affected by impact or friction.

Is the chair strong enough?
Absolutely! We only use the highest quality of cork. On top, for this design we worked with an particularly dense version of the material. The result is very strong and robust.
Is the Moon chair treated with a varnish?
No. However, we did coat it with a water based sealant to provide even more protection.
What are the dimensions of the chair?
The dimensions ( L X W X H) of our designer chair are 59 x 84 x 84 cm, and it weighs 45 kg.
Can I choose the colour?
Yes you can! The Moon chair is available in natural and dark cork.
