Sustainability
The impressive environmental properties of cork have made it a firm favourite with ecologically conscious designers. Not only are our NuSpa products created from waste cork supplied by wine stoppers manufactures, cork in itself is derived from the bark of the cork oak tree, which regrows over time. This means that cork can be harvested from the same tree for up to 150 years, without harming it in the process.

Absolutely! Not only is cork waterproof, the struture itself is made from high density cork and as a result is very strong.

Yes. Although cork itself is already very resilient and waterproof, we have added a waterbased sealant to add even more protection.

State-of-the-Art Technology
The production process of our modern freestanding washbasin starts by machining a solid block of cork with a remarkable seven-axis robotic sculptor that is capable of intricate and large forms. After this impressive machine has carved out the main design, craftsmen will, by hand, finish each line and rounding to perfection.
